Dr. Parker, a specialized CODA psychologist, is summoned to the rural hills of Appalachia when a string of brutal serial murders grips the community.  Her unique understanding of Deaf culture and fluency in ASL make her indispensable to the case. But as she fights to ensure the children are heard and protected, her relationship with an unknown stranger becomes her lifeline.  Her anonymous, dominant/submissive online relationship has become her most powerful emotional anchor.
